Gio Ponti is doing extremely well for today's race. Let's just toss out his last race as he didn't like the wet track. He has limited experience over synthetic surfaces but did seem to handle the ground much better training hours right here at Santa Anita. To get the job done he will need to beat, Zenyatta. This mare will take on the boys today. Her main advantage is that she has proven herself on synthetic tracks while her principal rivals have not. She’s the biggest start and will try to make history.

Rachel Alexandra would beat her 10 out of 10 races |

After reading reviews from every website carefully , my strong opinion is colonel john , zenyatta, richards kid, einstein. rip van winkle . for me those are the top horses to watch in this race for today . |

Zenyatta is an overrated horse. Wish I could get all the bucks they bet on this horse, this race. |

I think Quality road will win the classic. I don't think he relish the slossy track in his last two outings. |

First and foremost, dirt to poly track doesn't agree with most horses. So my selection of Quality
Road to win is out. Talk of Rip Van Winkle not taking to the trip here well and trainer's concern
with foot problems. Tall order for Zenyatta but
believe she is that good. The filly is crying for
more ground.
