Kanan Dume looks like a nice play to get the job done in this spot. He’s doing very well off the layoff. Richard Mandella has this gelding at his best as he’s training very nice in the morning hours. He’s a nice horse and looks like he’s ready to show how good he can be. He will be tough to beat if he can handle the turf course.
Temerity will need to clear from the inside post to be a big factor in this spot. He broke his maiden in his last. Steps up in class but we still like his chances as Ronald Ellis has this gelding in top form. Ellis is very effective when switching from a synthetic track to a turf surface. Alex Solis stays on top and that means business.
Cleisthenes has also a fair chance to show his best. He rallied hard in his last and just missed to get the job done. Mike Smith stays on top for the re-ride. He will need to stay closer to the pace to be a big factor in the late stretch.
Fu Peg He Rat will run much better at this level. He faced some tougher fields in the past and has the right to show his best in this spot. Today’s shorter distance will help his chances. Tyler Baze will get the assignment.
